Nichole Bonilla currently works as a Database Curator and 211HSIS Taxonomy Editor at 211LA, where she ensures consistent indexing standards within the organization's database and maintains the 211 Human Services Indexing System (formerly known as the 211LA Taxonomy). Guided by Georgia Sales, creator of the 211HSIS Taxonomy, Nichole is expertly navigating the intricacies of the taxonomy system and how it can most effectively meet subscribers' needs.

Nichole is an active member of the Inform Database Curation Committee and leads the 211HSIS Inclusive Language subcommittee.

Before joining 211LA, Nichole worked in the private sector for internet startups experiencing exponential year-over-year growth. She quickly adapted to 211 LA's culture of constant change and innovation. Nichole holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Occidental College.

Nichole’s goal is to inform 211HSIS subscribers of best indexing practices and explore ways to make the taxonomy more inclusive of the diverse communities I&R entities serve.
