Organization Overview
The United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades is a volunteer driven organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in our community. This is accomplished through fundraising, fund distribution, community building, volunteer advancement, and information and referral.
The United Way of Lee County, Inc. (dba United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties) is a volunteer organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in our community. The United Way helps to fund more than 100 non-profit agencies and through these partnerships they support 250 programs that serve low-income populations offering a hand up with social services ranging from child-care to food pantries, to veteran services through our Mission United program. The whole community benefits when more working individuals and families can stop walking a financial tightrope and get on solid ground. That is why we focus on lasting solutions that go beyond charity because financially stable people are more likely to have access to quality health care, provide a good education for their children, and contribute to their local economies.
