Inform USA 2024 Awards: Honoring Excellence in Community Navigation

It's Awards Season!

Who cares about Oscars, Emmys and Golden Globes? It's time for the Inform USA Awards! This is your opportunity to highlight the skills of your team and peers in the sector! Awardees will be acknowledged at the awards luncheon during the Grand Gathering in May. We'll have beautiful new awards that are reflective of the Inform USA brand and a little lighter to pack in your carry-on luggage:-).

Each nomination form only takes a few minutes to complete and you may place nomination for multiple awards and people. Read the full rules through the link in each nomination form in the text below.

Inform Community Resource Specialist of the Year Award Rules and Limitations


General Rules and Limitations
:

  • Inform USA staff are not allowed to make nominations.

  • Anyone who does not meet the criteria or transgresses nomination rules will be immediately disqualified.

Criteria

    • Holds a verified CRS, CRS-AD, or CRS-DC certification

    • Their everyday job requires them to perform CRS activities.

    • Exemplifies the requirements of excellent service delivery and job tasks of a Certified Resource Specialist

    • Is a consistent and supportive team member

Nomination and decision-making process

    • Individuals can nominate anyone they know in the I&R service sector from their organization or another organization. 

    • Relatives cannot nominate each other

    • Individuals cannot nominate themselves

    • Submissions will be reviewed and rated by members of the certification commission. 

    • The winner will be announced at the Inform USA Awards Luncheon.

Award

    • The final winner will receive a plaque etched with their name.


Lifetime Achievement Award Rules and Limitations

Criteria

  • Must be a local, regional, or national leader of an organization, group, or corporation who has rendered outstanding service to the field or the profession of information and referral and/or Inform USA.

  • Must have spent the bulk of their career in the I&R sector.

  • Must have served Infrom USA in some capacity, either on the board or on a committee.

  • Must be retired from their full-time job.

 

Nomination and Application Process

  • Nominations will be gathered through a Google form.

  • The Inform USA Executive Committee will discuss and decide who will be granted this honor.

 

Award

  • A physical award will be granted to the finalist by the executive committee during the Inform USA Awards Luncheon.
  • The honor and recognition of this accomplishment. 


Inform USA Innovation Awards Rules and Limitations

 

General Rules and Limitations:

  • Inform USA staff are not allowed to make nominations.

  • Anyone who does not meet the criteria or transgresses nomination rules will be immediately disqualified.

 

Criteria

    • The organization has made a change that makes a difference.

    • Exemplifies the requirements of excellent service delivery.

    • There are FIVE potential winners – one for each area of the Inform USA Standards: 

      • Service Delivery

      • Resource Database

      • Cooperative Relationships

      • Disaster Preparedness

      • Operational Effectiveness

 

Nomination and decision-making process

    • Individuals can nominate any organization. 

    • The Inform USA members will be asked to vote for the winner over a two-week period. 

    • The winner will be announced at the Inform USA Awards Luncheon.

 

Award

    • The final winners will each receive a plaque etched with their name.
