Inform USA's AI Task Force has been learning about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the potential implications of these technologies for the work of Information and Referral. This webinar will recap the Task Force's process, summarize the findings from it's report, and engage participants in the practice of risk/benefit analysis for multiple use cases.
Objectives:
- Learn about the Inform USA AI Task Force process and report
- Understand the core findings and supplementary materials
- Practice analysis of opportunities and risks to inform strategic decision- making about the use of these techniques
- Help set the agenda for future work on this topic

Greg Bloom is a nationally recognized advocate for open, interoperable community resource data. As the founder of Open Referral and a leader of Inform USA’s AI Task Force, Greg brings deep insight into the responsible application of technology in human services. His work helps ensure that innovations like AI are guided by ethics, accessibility, and real-world need.

Jeff Cary is the Senior Director of Technology and Engagement at the United Way for Greater Austin where he leads strategic partnerships and initiatives that aim to improve outcomes and support the goals for individuals, organizations, and the larger community. Over his career at the United Way, he has served as a 2-1-1 Community Resource Specialist, a Database Curator, and led disaster response during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jeff is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana and has lived in Austin, Texas since 2015

Sasha Reinoso is the founder and lead of Do Good Data, a team of specialists who provide data management support, strategic guidance, and tooling. Drawing on 15 years of experience, she helps I&R organizations thoughtfully leverage AI and other technologies to improve data quality, optimize service delivery, build stronger partnerships, and ensure equitable access to critical resources.

Emily’s professional background includes over 25 years in higher education administration before she switched lanes and joined the United Way of Pennsylvania and PA 211 6 years ago.  In her most recent role as Vice President of PA 211, Emily is responsible for providing executive leadership for the statewide 211 operations, facilitating the attainment of strategic goals and initiatives, bringing donuts to team meetings, supporting regional partners in the delivery of 211 services, and building collaborative and sustainable relationships with community based organizations and others.  She currently resides in Northwestern PA with some dogs who rescued her a few years ago.
