Supporting Our Community: Introducing the Inform USA Transition Membership
The heart of Inform USA has always been our people. Across the Community Navigation sector, dedicated professionals work tirelessly every day to connect individuals, families, and communities with essential resources. However, when sudden organizational shifts, budget cuts, or layoffs occur, those who spend their careers helping others often find themselves needing support.
We believe that experiencing a career transition shouldn't mean losing your professional community, your access to vital sector resources, or your connection to peers.
To support our valued colleagues during these challenging times, Inform USA is proud to launch the Transition Membership Program.
What is the Transition Membership?
The Transition Membership provides one full year of complimentary Individual Membership to professionals who were previously employed by an Inform USA member organization and have recently experienced a layoff.

Why We’re Launching This Initiative
When professionals leave an organization due to workforce reductions, maintaining personal professional dues can be a heavy burden. Yet, remaining connected to the sector is crucial for finding new opportunities, keeping certifications up to date, and maintaining professional support systems.
Through the Transition Membership, we aim to:
-
Keep Experienced Talent Connected: Retain certified, skilled navigation professionals within our sector.
-
Reduce Financial Strain: Provide full access to individual member benefits without financial obligation during career searches.
-
Facilitate Re-employment: Offer tools and visibility to help transition members connect with hiring organizations.
What’s Included in Your Transition Membership?
As a Transition Member, you receive full access to Inform USA individual benefits, including:
-
Access to The Connection Platform: Stay involved in industry discussions, roundtable conversations, and peer networks.
**Dedicated Job-Seeker Community: Opt into our specialized community group in The Connection, called the Talent Exchange, designed specifically for job seekers and hiring managers. You can post your resume, highlight your certifications, and get discovered by organizations looking for experienced talent.
-
Professional Development & Webinars: Maintain your continuing education units (CEUs) and access professional growth tools.
-
Member Pricing: Enjoy member discounts on certification maintenance and educational resources.
