Island Senior Resources is seeking a Community Resource Specialist to support individuals and families in identifying, understanding, and accessing community resources and services. This role serves as a key connection point for people seeking assistance and plays an important role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and access to care.

The Community Resource Specialist works directly with clients to assess needs, provide information and referrals, facilitate service connections, and offer ongoing support when needed. Responsibilities include conducting intake interviews and assessments, maintaining accurate client records, coordinating referrals, assisting with resource navigation, and collaborating with community partners to improve access to services. The position also supports outreach and community education efforts, develops relationships with local providers, and helps maintain resource materials and information for clients and the community.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with diverse populations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable navigating complex service systems, assessing client needs, and working both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in social work, human services, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience in human services. Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, or community-based services is preferred. Knowledge of local resources, strong technology skills, and a commitment to client-centered service are essential.

A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the service area are required.
